– All you need to know for your stay in Valencia –

VALENCIA WORLDSCHOOL HUB

16 - 25 September 2024
  • THE CITY – VALENCIA
A little description

For you to understand the city: Valencia is a city that is completely plain, this is why it’s so easy to go by bike anywhere, plus the more than 200km of bike lane. The city is crossed by the old Turia river that nowadays is transformed in 10 km long space of green areas, palygrounds, sport fields and just a nice open area where you can hang out.

Valencia is a nice city to walk and ride bikes or use public transport. Activities will be all around the city centre, from Parque de Cabecera in the north west to Portsaplaya in the north East, la Malvarosa Beach at the East, El Saler in the South.

  • THE ACTIVITIES
Where will be the activities?

Activities are taking place all around the city. I have prepared a map with some of the locatios of the activities we did last year and we are probably doing this year too.

  • ACCOMMODATION

There is no official accomodation for this hub. You can choose any kind of accommodation that is good for your family from, hotel, hostels, arbnb, camping, homexchange, housesitting, homestays….

Activities will be from Les Tendetes neirbourhood at the west to the Oceanographic in the East, although we will be going to the beach (wich is more East) several times for different activities. This places are also pointing the northern and southern points in our list. Except from the Albufera Natural Park, which is more in the south.

Where to stay

Orriols, Nazaret and Benicalap are neighbourhoods you can avoid.

Valencia is a nice city to walk and ride by bike as it is really flat, so you just walk from one place to another or use bikes or public transport.

In all the center of Valencia you will not have problem on finding accomodation. Its a very visited city, well conected from the center to the surrounding areas, till the beach and the Natural Park. Look for acomodation near the old channel of Turia, in this way you will have green area to walk any time, playgrounds, sport areas, etc. Google it in google maps and have a look, the old channel is all full of things! ( Old Channel of Turia = «Cauce viejo del río Turia» in Spanish) https://www.google.es/maps/search/antiguo+cauce+turia/@39.4767627,-0.3867233,15z/data=!3m1!4b1

You could also choose to stay close to the beach at the East side of the old channel of Turia and take the transport or bikes to go to the center, that is also a nice option. Depending on your preferencies.

We will be staying at the house of a family member and it is not a reference because is out of the area we are visiting with the hub (is in the neirbourhood of Tavernes Blanques).

Green areas through all Turia’s old channel

The center and nice place close to the beach if you prefer to look for accommodation there.

Most of the campings are in El Saler, at the South of the city, very close to Albufera Natural Park. There is a good conection by bus to the city centre. Bus stop is on the road of the campings.

There are other options you can explore, like prking for campers. If you need help just let mi know.
